Below you will find the units of study for semester one along with a (very) brief overview of the topics we will cover. As we get into each unit, additional "slides" will be added to the unit below so that you can scroll through to find our readings, projects, worksheets, study guides, homework assignments, and various other items of importance for your success.

Semester one: units of study
UNIT 1: Intro to Culture
In this unit, we will explore the concepts and ideas that make up "culture" in societies. We will be covering the following (not an exhaustive list):

UNIT 2: civics
"A truly democratic society relies on its citizens to be informed and ready to act. UNIT 4: Middle East
Although the Middle East is rich in history, our main goal in this unit is to cover the Abrahamic religions and continued connection to developing our understanding of US foreign policy. We will be covering the following (not an exhaustive list):
